Time for the bedroom today. This room is significantly smaller then any of our previous bedrooms, despite that though, everything fit in there perfectly!

Now, to clear 1 thing up. The deep burgundy comforter set is not my ideal color nor pattern and I simply don’t like it. The darker color kind of weighs down the room and makes it a little heavy with mood. However, before this set, we had an all-white set. Picture this scenario of an all-white comforter set, a husband who insisted of having his morning coffee in bed, and then his apelike hands trying to fluff up his pillow which ricocheted onto the nightstand where said coffee was standing. What do you get, you ask? You get a brown/yellow comforter set.

I flipped the !@#$% out, hard.

So, instead of having an all-white set, we have a colored set where you couldn’t see such potential accidents. Yes, white is more prone to discolorations and stains, but it opens up a room, it makes it brighter and it’s a cleaner look for a bed.

Maybe one day I can have my boutique hotel ideal look I really want ?…

The bookcase doesn’t belong in the bedroom, it actually belongs as part of my office, but since there was no room anywhere to put with the current work space, it had to go on some kind of spare wall. Which ended up being in the bedroom. I don’t know how to feel about it being there because the entire tone of the bookcase doesn’t exactly flow in with the rest of the bedroom. Or maybe I’m focusing too hard on it …

Expansion trick: Using floating shelves instead of a t.v. unit, opens up the room significantly and gives the illusion it’s bigger. Just like the mirror trick. Floating shelves will just blend in with the wall and has a minimal appearance, to where an actual furniture unit doesn’t only take up wall space, it’ll also take up floor real estate.

The ONLY thing bothering me, is there’s no viable option to hide the t.v. cables. The cable company, whose name shall remain anonymous because I have a feeling I’m gonna be on the phone yelling at someone about the first bill, again, gives 2 small cords instead 1 long one with a splitter, it would’ve made it easier for me to line the cords over to 1 side, instead having them go both ways to 2 different outlets.

Other then just these couple of small things, I’m rather happy with the look of the bedroom.
